HYCS' Trustees help to give direction to the charity and are ultimately responsible for its activities. The Trustees' skills and experience are invaluable to the further development and growth of HYCS.
LIZ HASSOCK
CHAIRPERSON
Liz has been associated with HYCS since 2002. Now living in Leicestershire her commitment to HYCS remains. Liz has been Chair since 2013. The drive to embed the new constitution has taken up the past two years and as the new Charity status is now live and moving forward Liz is keen to ensure that the new challenges with the premises and structure will be high on the agenda over the coming year.
CAROLYN BARTLETT
TRUSTEE MEMBER
Carolyn is a Senior Civil Servant at the Home Office with experience of strategy and policy development and delivery across various government departments. She has Foundation Level counselling training and is also a qualified coach. As well as her involvement in HYCS, she mentors a child in care.
AMANDA BRADY
COUNSELLOR REPRESENTATIVE
Amanda volunteers as a counsellor on the Wednesday evening team. She joined the Trustees as a counsellor representative in September '23. Outside of HYCS she has a private practice counselling adult clients.
HOLLY CRITCHLEY
SECRETARY
Holly is Project and Delivery Manager at the National Foundation for Educational Research, where she works on various educational research projects. She joined HYCS in January of 2019 as minutes-secretary on the committee. She brings her excellent organisational skills to the role of minutes-secretary and is dedicated both to the ongoing development of the charity and the wellbeing of the young people we work with.
ALEX DOIG

Dr Alex Doig works as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Richmond Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. Prior to this he was an Adolescent Psychiatrist for 11 years at Hounslow CAMHS.
CAROL HALLIWELL
TRUSTEE MEMBER
Carol has worked with adolescents and their families for 30+ years, inspired by young people and how they find their own unique strategies for coping with the pressures of the world. Mary has worked in Hounslow for 14 years and is the Consultant Lead Family Therapist for CAMHS in West London Mental Health Trust. Mary enjoys being a board member of HYCS, 'It's an organisation whose aims and values I trust'.
CHARLOTTE HAMMERBECK

Charlotte volunteers as a counsellor on the Wednesday evening team.
Charlotte started her life at HYCS as a trustee, and seeing the amazing impact it has on young people's lives inspired her to join the team as a trainee counsellor, in placement since March 2022. She now has the privilege of coming back onto the board as a counsellor representative. Outside of HYCS, Charlotte works full time in a FTSE 100 company, leading on digital transformation programmes globally
MARY HEAD
TRUSTEE MEMBER
Mary has been a member of the committee for over 20 years. She is a qualified systemic psychotherapist and has over 30+ years experience of working with young people and their families in mental health settings. Through her work, she brings a knowledge and understanding of emotional and mental health needs of young people She is committed to ensuring that young people and their families have access to timely therapeutic support.
KATIE LE COULTRE

Katie is an AAT and CIMA qualified accountant. She currently works as a Finance Manager in an industry role. Having been born and raised in Hounslow she hopes her accounting expertise can help streamline some of the financial reporting at HYCS and help with budgeting and cash planning for the charities future.

Jean is a retired Company Director. Since retiring has worked for several Charities offering services to Young People. Jean presented Enterprise Education days throughout London schools for Young Enterprise and now offers Mentoring and Befriending for Volunteering Matters.
DR MEDHI MIRKHANI
TRUSTEE MEMBER
Dr Mehdi Mirkhani has worked as team lead and consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist in Adolescent team, Early Intervention in Psychosis team and Learning Disability team in Hounslow since March 2019. Prior to this he was consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist in Berkshire CAMHS.
PETRA RACCANI
TRUSTEE MEMBER
Petra Raccani works within Special Educational Needs in a local school, helping to enable their paths through the secondary education system. Petra has previously worked in the NHS for almost 20 years as a Human Resources professional in Acute Health Care Trusts.
MARY WALSHE
COUNSELLOR REPRESENTATIVE
Mary volunteers as a counsellor on the Monday evening team and has been a HYCS volunteer for over 18 years. Her love of counselling young people has never wavered.
Mary works creatively with her clients and runs ‘working creatively workshops’ for her fellow counsellor's. Mary works for the Hounslow Local Authority as an accredited workplace mediator, domestic abuse support rep' and as a senior family information officer working with families in Hounslow providing information advice and guidance on services that can support them.

With more than 30 years’ experience, HYCS has a trusted team of professional, counsellors who have all received specialist counselling training.
All have also been through HYCS’ rigorous recruitment and training programme which includes a further 45 hours of specialist training in working with young people.
Our counsellors are all registered with professional bodies including the BACP and UKCP and many are also fully Accredited Members of the BACP. All are ready to listen and experienced in working with young people.
The HYCS counselling team includes both volunteer counsellors and also paid members of staff.
HYCS' dedicated and friendly admin' team ensures the smooth running of the service day to day.
From taking your calls and booking intro sessions to data entry and coordinating materials for counsellors, their role is vital to the service.
